SKYSHOP is the inflight duty free magazine of Hong Kong Airlines published quarterly by CC+. We are responsible for the magazine’s design, editorial, production and printing. The magazine is designed to match the professional and modern corporate image of the airlines.
We use a foil-stamped frame as the core principle for the magazine cover to draw the readers’ attention to the advertisement area, as well as to serve the brand building objective, and use a colour that matches the advertisement’s colour tone. For the content, two sets of colours are used: vibrant colours which recall memories during those exotic trips, and nude and grey. Both sets of colours add a mature yet stylish touch to the magazine. We also choose Sans Serif (Didot) font for the magazine as it is one of the favourite fonts used by fashion magazines of all time.
The project has won the 2015 Creativity International Awards 45th Printing and Packaging Bronze Award.
