The revamp intends to freshen the old-fashioned image of the magazine, thus it transforms into a modern catalogue which encourages passenger to indulge into inflight shopping.
The masthead“珍寶閣”has the meaning of “Pavilion of Treasure”. We adopt this concept and visualize its exquisiteness with the pattern of diamond. Simple lines are used to outline the shape of diamond to keep away the sense of extravagant. Throughout the whole magazine, we use colourful icons, lines and patterns to attract readers’ attention and shopping desire.
2015年的改版主要設計方向為擺脫航空公司及原雜誌設計的古老形象,同時保留東方色彩,因此除了Logo保留毛筆字體外,設計風格為摩登簡約。
《珍寶閣》的名字有珍貴的寶物的意思,我們以此為設計主體,以鑽石把「珍寶」形象化,而為免顯得過分奢華,儘量以簡潔的線條勾勒鑽石的形象。內頁同樣以簡約線條繪畫出各種圖標和分割線, 配合搶眼的顏色吸引讀者目光和購物慾。
