The new two-stories Page One Flagship Store in Harbour City has opened for a few months now. Have you played it a visit? This lifestyle-integrated concept store of Page One covers more than 35000 square feet and includes not only a massive selection of books, but restaurant, bakery, florist and furniture area. Each zone has its own theme and all interior design is done by Hong Kong fashion designer Toby Yang.
In the major bookseller area, the wooden floor and wooden bookshelves brings a sense of ancient library. Although the ceiling is relatively low, the passages in between bookcase are wide and with the wood, the green walls and the soft lights, it successfully creates a cozy environment for visitors.
The art and design book area is beyond reality. The whole area is in the tone of black, with light reflections on walls and bookshelves, it feels like outer space or scenes in the movies.
Kids zone is also decorated with wood. It is a children’s kingdom with lots of storybooks, toys and gifts, and to read and play, stuffed toys are provided to accompany children while they read and play in little nooks. And don’t miss out the eye-catching diagonal-ceiling hallway there.
Seven of the show rooms are decorated like a living room with display of furniture, home decoration goodies, and art pieces from global brands.
Gift zone covers a large area, most of them are local designer brands.
New restaurant Forestry is the first restaurant of Page One, let alone the food, it feels so special dining with books surrounding us. There’s also the UK organic bakery shop Rose Bakery, which is good for some pick-me-up after shopping in the concept store.
Surprisingly, the bookstore is quite spacious and less crowded than other book store chain. It is definitely a haven for people who really enjoy downshifting lifestyle and reading.
